Boggy Ploughed Fields

I miss snow and the ice in the air.  It’s strange that as soon as the snow leaves the green starts to shake itself free.  Cassandra’s words are as apt today as they were all those years ago:

“Beyond the moat, the boggy ploughed fields stretch to the leaden sky.  I tell myself that all the rain we have had lately is good for nature, and that any moment spring will surge on us.”

It is wonderful to be watching spring arrive here, and so perfect for the opening the the musical.  Spring isn’t exactly surging yet but it’s definitely on the way.

Snowdrops are everywhere now – swift as a bullet after snow.Image
